Every new patient to our practice will have a comprehensive initial visit. This allows us to understand your past and present, then work with you to craft a plan for your future health. This visit is generally at least an hour and uses the functional medicine model of history taking as well as a complete physical exam. We may ask you questions no other health care provider has asked but we know the impact these answers have on your health.
After your initial visit, we work with you to develop your health optimization plan. Subsequent visits are either follow up, flex or comprehensive visits, depending on your individual needs. Many visits are “multipurpose”. For example, you may chose to have an acupuncture visit and we discuss nutrition at the same time.
If you are ill and need to be seen, we will see you in a flex visit to address your acute need on the same day you request your appointment. We also offer house calls after hours and on weekends.*
We are available to our patients 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our practice number comes directly to a Pallas MD, NP or PA. It will be a rare event that you will need to leave a message, but if you do, we will respond quickly to attend to your health questions.
Our patients have access to OnPatient, a secure patient portal for our Electronic Medical Record. You may see your records, message your provider, request refills and even schedule your own appointments. OnPatient is HIPAA compliant so your privacy is secured.
Because we work for our patients, not their insurance companies, payment for services is expected at time of service. For patients who elect one of our Health Partnership plans, your authorized payment will be made on the 1st of each month. You will receive a form at each visit that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement directly to you.*
We have a provider agreement with Quest/Solstas Laboratory. Depending on the labs you need, we may draw these in our office or, if special handling is required, have you visit one of their convenient draw stations in Winston-Salem. Regardless, Quest/Solstas will bill your insurance directly for these services.
